A trip to India...

Recently, myself and two others from church travelled to Trichy in Tamil Nadu, South India. We were researching setting up a link with a church there - CSI St Mary's, in Pudukkottai village.

Last weekend, we gave a presentation at the morning services about the possibilities for a link. I asked whether it would be possible to use some of the shawls I'd been gifted with to decorate church. Pam, who was doing the flowers that week, said yes.

Here's what she did with them...

Both shawls are threaded through with gold, and the flowers were chosen to match their base colours; red and limey green alstromeria, lime spider chrysanthemums and lime carnations.

It was a real 'zing' of colour and richness on the altar.
